Sheffield skyline

About

SteelQEC is a workshop on practical routes to useful quantum error correction. The emphasis is on approaches that connect directly to implementation constraints and near-term design decisions. Other themes are benchmarking, resource estimation, and related practical questions.

The workshop is hosted by the University of Sheffield. Co-organising institutions to be confirmed.

SteelQEC is the next event in the PrefixQEC series of quantum error correction workshops. The series began with TartanQEC, held in Edinburgh in June 2026.
